mechanical and cosmetic repairs to all major electrical and gas appliances and
air conditioners using technical and professional standards set forth below. Operates
company vehicle safely and within the law. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Greets customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Performs necessary mechanical repairs and/or installation
of parts as required following guidelines set forth by manufacturers.
Treats all customers with respect and dignity.
Follows up and follows through on unresolved customer issues.
Visually inspects and maintains all equipment for efficiency
and safety.
Charges
customers accurately within the scope of authorization, honoring warranty contracted
rates.
Maintains
company vehicle by keeping in good operating condition and cleanliness and orderliness
both inside and out.
Operates company vehicle safely and within the scope of
Connecticut laws.
Reports motor vehicle accidents, scratches, dents or other
damage immediately to President.
Works closely with Dispatcher to achieve efficient scheduling
and optimum customer service.
Utilizes vehicle dispatch radio system with professionalism.
Maintains personal equipment (see attached Tools & Equipment) necessary to
perform job functions.
Reports time and payroll records accurately on a weekly basis.
Complete Service Orders with accurate and complete information.
Maintains neat personal appearance.
Cooperates with Parts Department when ordering, pricing and installing parts as
necessary.
Performs other
duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE One or more
years of hands on technical experience is required. EPA certification is required
or may be obtained with in first 90-days of employment.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS Ability to read and
interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability
to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Multi-lingual abilities a plus but not required.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS Ability to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,
and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY Ability
to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,
oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete
variables in standardized situations.
